Once upon a time, my mom flew half-way across the country to visit me. This was back in the days when people would drop off their camera photo rolls at the drugstore to be developed, and you would return to pick up the prints several days later. You could receive an extra set of prints for just a little extra. So several weeks after my mom had returned home, I received my "set" of the pictures she had taken.

Flipping through the pictures of her visit, photos of me, my home, and us eating and drinking, I was surprised to see this photo of my cat Paolo:

I had never seen Paolo in such a pose and called my mom to inquire. Apparently, he had climbed up the screen door (something he never did!), and my mom was quick enough to capture the moment. 

And it was at that moment that Paolo became immortalized as Superpussy!

Although he took the Rainbow Bridge long ago, and I have had several loved and immensely spoiled cats since, Paolo--as Superpussy--remains my forever muse.
